Profile

Senior software engineer and architect with more than ten years of project experience building business-critical Java enterprise applications. My industry focus is banks and building societies — grown system landscapes with many consuming systems, where changes have to remain backward compatible.

The emphasis of recent years has been replacing legacy Java EE monoliths with modern Spring Boot architectures and running them on OpenShift and Azure AKS — from cutting the functional boundaries through implementation to operational responsibility. Throughout in a dual role: hands-on development alongside overall technical ownership as lead or application manager.

My particular strength lies in situations with an unclear starting point: taking over error-prone legacy systems, reengineering without available source code, replacing services under strict backward compatibility, and tracing faults across application boundaries. A mathematician by training — analytical mastery of complex domains is the core of how I work.
